Our Beliefs

At St. Mary's Missionary Baptist Church, we anchor our faith in the unchanging truths of Scripture and the enduring love of God. Central to our beliefs is the acknowledgment of God as the Supreme Creator, Redeemer, and Ruler of the universe, existing in the triune nature of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. We affirm the Bible as the infallible and inspired Word of God, serving as our ultimate authority and guide in matters of faith and practice. Through its teachings, we discover God's plan of redemption and salvation for humanity, centered on the person and work of Jesus Christ.

Furthermore, we embrace the foundational truths of the Christian faith, affirming Jesus Christ as God's Son and the Savior of the world. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, sacrificial death on the cross for the forgiveness of sins, victorious resurrection from the dead, and eventual return to establish His eternal kingdom. Guided by the Holy Spirit, we strive to live out the Great Commandment to love God and love one another, as well as the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations, bringing honor and glory to God through our words, actions, and relationships.

In addition, we affirm the role of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer, empowering and equipping us for ministry and service. We believe in the importance of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ alone, and we eagerly anticipate His promised return, when He will reign as King of kings and Lord of lords. As a community of believers, we are committed to growing in our understanding of God's Word, living lives that reflect His character, and sharing the hope of the gospel with a world in need of His love and grace.
